I need to drill some holes in 18 major "stone walls (technically called "rubble wall"). I already have an Sds Max drill (Makita HR4011C) and other Makita SDS +. I have three questions.: 1) What kind of TST core drilling I need to get (the length of the cutting tool)? 2) Should I run or a non-hammer hammer? 3) special techniques must use when cutting the hole? Thanks for your answers.
The drill is needed depends on hole size you need. So apart from having a little standard masonry hammer designed for drilling length you need. U get a little long. They have no miket but have used what special bit (cut in half on the back uses this type before). Is likely to use a Hammer Drill mode. I've always found something better to rely solely in the exercise or grow in your case (horizontal pressure). Be sure to "clean up" the hole often if you do not just grind the rock into dust, even sinners. You may want to use an air tube to blow the hole for you. Rock may be more difficult to penetrate the concrete. It all depends on the rock. If you can drill through of a meeting at the rocks that can be better.
